I'd originally reached out to the guy whose name is on most of the garage doors out here in Oakland. Let's just say that his 'behavior and mannerisms' are poor taste. So, when I connected with Precision Door for the same issue, they responded so professionally and quickly by sending a rep out the very next day. He was not only prompt but immediately resolved it in 5 minutes where 'the other guy' stalled me for an entire week. Technician Casey Lang arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, listened to my concerns, then worked for 1 1/2 hours in below freezing temperatures to repair it. They could have a repair man on site, next day. We have used Precision a couple of times: In 2021 we purchased a Garage Screen Door from Precision. The purchase and installation process was very professional and met our every expectation. We now enjoy a screen porch atmosphere in our garage. Having had such a good experience with Precision in 2021, we immediately turned to them (2024) to update our door opener. Another successful experience with Precision. This time, they replaced the garage motor (smart garage belt drive opener with LED lights and camera). Once again, technician (Dillon) was early and completed project within an hour. Garage door is now so much quieter when opening and closing. Highly recommend! Dec 2024 Calling Precision for an appointment was easy peasy (they had my info from last time I used their services a decade ago). The technician Scott was punctual (actually an hour early! so refreshing!), professional, friendly, answered my questions about preventative work, explained the options for repairs and pricing within minutes and completed the job within an hour. Installed 2 torsion springs instead of 1, replaced old ball rollers with nylon rollers, replaced ends and center bearing brackets. Plus a 5-year warranty! Nov 2022
