Precision installed my new garage door a year ago, and offered a free inspection and tune up at the 1 year mark. I had made modifications to the door (insulation, nylon rollers, stronger brackets) and the door had been painted with the house, all of which added significant weight to the door. And although my modifications technically voided the warranty (which I understood at the time), my service technician Roger Emmerson, in consultation with his manager, was still willing to perform the service without additional cost to me. However, Roger determined the original torsion springs were inadequate for the modifications. He gave me the option to keep them as best adjusted or upgrade the torsion springs as really needed. He wasn't trying to push the upgrade. After discussing pros and cons with him, I opted to have it done right. Precision gave me a very reasonable price for the new springs and kindly waived the labor charges as a result of the unexpected cost (albeit my own responsibility). Roger was able to perform the service on the spot, I did not have to reschedule. He spent the time to review his work with me after completion, and I'm very pleased with the door's operation now. He was polite, understanding, and professional. He and Precision provided 5 star service! I'm grateful and have no regrets in choosing Precision as my garage door service provider.
