I contacted Precision to schedule a technician to come out and replace a broken garage door spring. We scheduled for the next morning between 8 - 10 am. I received a call from Dillon at 8:15 that he would be at the house in 10-15 min. They showed up by 8:30 and he indicated it would take about 20-30 min. He replaced both springs, per their recommendation, and was completed before 9:00 am. I was told in advance of about how much it was, and although I felt it was a bit pricing, they lived up to the stated expectations.

My issue was fairly trivial--needed my garage door openers reset and an extra one as well after a lawn mower disappeared without returning the one he had. My service person, Dillon Kirby, was stellar. He arrived early, took all the time needed to assess what I thought I wanted, and then got the job done in about 10 minutes. I should also say that this is my SECOND stellar experience with Precision Doors. Dillon, the Tech that came to diagnose the problem with my old Garage Door Opener and ultimately replace and install my new Opener was great! Not only did he show up hours earlier than expected due to a cancellation at his end, but he did the install in record time and explained and walked me through the set up for MyQ and any wifi glitches that may arise. Dillon gets FIVE STARS! My dissatisfaction was that the "Residential Service Call" Fee of $83.95 was not removed once I decided to replace the opener after Dillon diagnosed the problem. In my experience that fee is charged only if you decide not to have any work done. I called the office to inquire about this and they stated that that fee is charged regardless. Additionally, and included with that Service Call Fee was a "Residential Fuel Surcharge" of $6.88, which in my opinion should be at the company's expense and not passed on to the consumer/customer. It's the Cost of Doing Business after all. My husband drives to work every day and is not reimbursed by anyone for the fuel to get there. Just another way to gauge the consumer I guess.
